MORMOR
BRAND DESIGN | BRAND EXPANSION | BRAND EXPERIENCE
Mormor, the Norwegian word for Mother’s Mother, helps bring this sentiment to life as they create beautiful hand-dyed unspun wool from sheep across Maine. It’s about natural fibers and sustainable farming. It’s about women and the stories we carry, the ones passed from our grandmothers and in turn, the ones we create and share with our children.

It’s about more than selling fiber art. It’s about legacy and tradition. It’s about people choosing to be together, chatting while we create something with our hands.
[ OVERVIEW ]
It's about natural and regenerative
farming.
The goal for MORMOR's brand was to break away from the normal "crafty" or "cute" look that you see everywhere in the wool felting industry. MORMOR wanted something a little more sophisticated, yet still approachable—something strong that doesn't take things too seriously. Together we created a brand identity based on a logotype with hand-crafted lettering and a clever nod to those wacky sheep eyes.
Make it accessible. Learn new skills. Use natural fibers. Honor tradition and legacy. Support regenerative agriculture and family farms throughout Maine.
Everyone loves a catalog
The MORMOR brand identity extended way beyond a logo. This brand package included and extensive Print Kit—business card, letterhead, stationary, packaging, catalog, signage and more. We even created a custom needle felted sign for tradeshows and fairs.
A custom logotype. Soft, smooth with some wacky sheep eyes.
Behind their relaxed demeanor, they are very much killer at their craft.
The goal behind this branding project was to GO AGAINST THE GRAIN of your traditional mortgage banker and create a logo that captures Tyler’s personality—a mix between relaxed, personable and authentic, but also modern and serious about the profession.
